THE DRIVER ERA

Brothers Ross and Rocky Lynch have always had a passionate hand and talent for music. After having a steady career with the group R5, the brothers broke away to form their own band in 2018. Thus, The Driver Era was born.

The brothers have a tasteful philosophy towards their music creation. Focusing their efforts on embracing their experiences and feelings as they come, they seamlessly transform those aspects into beauty through the song. Since their 2019 debut “Preacher Man”, they have been an instant hit, working their way to becoming a household name. In fact, the brothers’ music has likely already played through your house whenever you put on the hit Disney show Austin & Ally for the kids. Not only did Ross and Rocky write the music for that show, Ross actually starred in it.

The brothers’ latest album, Girlfriend, was written and produced by Ross and Rocky in their home studio. The newest release encapsulates their recent lives, showcasing songs dating back to 2016 up to the release in 2021. Rather than dictating the album with an overarching theme, Ross and Rocky’s process revolves around having fun. The brothers pull musical inspiration from all sorts of directions, including the likes of Prince and Bruce Springsteen as well as hip-hop producers Pharrell and will.i.am.

Rocky says, the musical creation process is to “go into the studio and have fun making whatever sounds good in that moment.” His brother Ross adds that he “tries not to judge the process and let it happen,” and that “you can’t be judging the thing you’re creating. You have to let it take over you and let it flow.”

The Driver Era process can be heard, felt, and seen any time they take the stage. Search for any of their live shows on YouTube and it’s readily apparent that they don’t play music, the music plays them!

Although The Driver Era was scheduled for a tour to begin in April 2020, the pesky global pandemic put those plans to a halt. Many bands and artists during the period felt pressured to use the lockdown as a forced production period, but The Driver Era took a different approach. Ross and Rocky put the band on pause, using the stillness as a reset. When they returned from their break, the brothers found themselves reinvigorated with passion for their music creation. This is what ultimately led to the making of Girlfriend. Ross described the feeling as being able to rediscover his passion for music and love for creating.

A telling signal that they discovered a next-level passion for the creation process is their upcoming album Summer Mixtape, set to release on September 15th. Having already proven their ability to songwrite, The Driver Era upped the ante for themselves by fully creating and producing their own album from the ground up. Throughout their young careers, the brothers describe this feat as everything they have been working towards and can’t wait to share it with the world.

The Driver Era has proven to have a firm foothold in the music industry with over 115 million streams and over 20 million followers on social media platforms. They were also featured on People Magazine’s “Emerging Artists” list and have sold out shows worldwide in just about every continent.

If I were to tell you that G-Eazy has established himself as a long-time mainstay in the rap industry, just know… I mean it.

Since bursting onto the rap scene, G-Eazy has performed on Saturday Night Live, MTV Music Video Awards, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and many more. Unlike other rappers and artists with ambitious music careers, however, the Bay Area rapper spreads his reach into multiple industries. Having donned some of the best-looking outfits in the rap game, G-Eazy has found himself on the covers of publications such as GQ Italia, Rollacoaster, Numero NL, XXL and Flaunt for his fashion sense. His influence in the fashion industry has led him to frequently partner with some of the biggest design houses worldwide.

His keen sense of fashion and high ability to produce great music is a gift of a combination. Perhaps he was just born with it, or perhaps he developed a great talent for the arts as a byproduct of falling in love with high quality films from a young age. According to the rapper, he absolutely loves all Tim Burton movies, lending credit to his good taste.

By building his career around an exquisite combination of dapper style, a smooth rap voice, and quality-first production, G-Eazy’s rise to stardom was inevitable. His latest studio album release, These Things Happen Too (2021), was a long-awaited treat to his fans. A sequel to These Things Happen (2014), These Things Happen Too acts as a genre colliding highlight of G-Eazy’s rise since his debut album.

The 19-track album comes together in a way that showcases G-Eazy’s diversity and talent across a variety of facets. The songs range from hardcore hip-hop using classic Bay Area beats to pop sensations to smooth artworks of self-reflection. YOUNG THE GIANT

Young the Giant is a band unafraid of taking risks, colliding genres, and opening portals of self-reflection through the use of their music. You can listen to any of their timeless classics at random and come out the other end with a great feeling of mindful and spiritual clarity. There are very few bands in the world that empower their listeners to deeply think about the meaning of a song’s lyrics as well as Young the Giant.

When they were kids, Sameer Gadhia (vocals) and Payam Doostzadeh (bass) met through playing soccer. Flash-forward to young adulthood and they would meet Jacob Tilley (guitar), Eric Cannata (guitar), and Francois Comtois (drums). Through their shared love of music and Thai food, they would go on to form Young the Giant in Irvine, CA in 2004. Since then, their unique style and deep thinking have propelled them to the top of the charts many times over the years. 

It wasn’t until 2010 that Young the Giant’s eclectic sound would hit the mainstream upon the release of their self-titled debut album. This album contained instant hits “Cough Syrup” and “My Body” which would both go on to receive RIAA multi-platinum distinction. 

Young the Giant built on these self-reflecting stepping stones with 2014’s Mind Over Matter, which would continue to engage listeners from around the globe. This album would become a commercial and critical success as they bravely continued the journey of inserting strong themes to their sounds.

By the time the band built on their success with their third album, Home of the Strange (released in 2016), the New York Times hailed lead singer Sameer Gadhia “one of the great contemporary rock voices.” 

Two years later in 2018, Young the Giant released their latest album, Mirror Master. “Superposition” tugged the heartstrings of rock fans everywhere as it propelled to #1 on the US Alternative Charts.

Becoming critically and commercially loved over the years, it’s no shock that Young the Giant has sold out some of the largest and most historic venues across the country. These include Radio City Music Hall, The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, The Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, and so on. Not only do they sell out their own shows consistently, but Young the Giant’s soothing rock charm has become a mainstay at some of the most well-known festivals… Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza, Outside

Lands, and Governor’s Ball among others.

DARING GREATLY

No band name has ever encapsulated the journey a group of friends has made as much as Daring Greatly.

Daring Greatly is made up of two brothers, Patrick and Liam Croome, and their best friend Brayden Tario. While all three are involved in the vocals, Patrick jams the acoustic guitar, Liam gets funky with the nord organ and piano, and Brayden slams down on the drums. 

The trio found their passion for music in the tunes of Canadian rock-n-roll and American Folk from the 1960’s and 70’s, and in 2012 formed Daring Greatly to encapsulate a rockin’ blend of the two sounds. Although 2012 is the “official” founding year of the band, it’s worth noting that Patrick and Liam were performing on stage when they were just toddlers… three and five years old! 

Initially from Calgary, Alberta, the up-and-comers were handed their first big opportunity to go on tour in 2015… accompanied by their first big setback.

On the road, the trio had to stand on the side of the highway and watch their tour bus drown in flames. Instead of wallowing in the difficulty, the three bandmates decided they would dare greatly and finish what they started, loading tiny trailers with whatever gear didn’t perish in the fire and making it to their destination in Southern California. 

After fighting through the adversity of a rocky start, Daring Greatly charged forward in their careers with their debut album Cornerstones in 2016. Since then they have continued to harmoniously blend earthy folk music with soft rock in a way that pushes past genre limitations. 

Currently, you can find the group touring through Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest while promoting their fourth album in just six years, Gird Valley. A seasoned and respected touring career lands Daring Greatly as a loved, down-to-earth group held close to the hearts of fans of their work. Patrick, Liam, and Brayden have done over 1,000 shows across the entirety of North America since their first tour in 2015, just under 200 shows each year. 

While living in a tour bus, the soulful group continues to pump out original and creative tunes. The release of Cornerstones in 2016 was quickly followed by Works of Art just one year later. Four years of writing, recording, and touring later led them to the release of Give Myself to the World in 2021, which was quickly followed by their latest release, Gird Valley (2022).

Daring Greatly would add to the lineup lead guitarist David Mills (from Lake Elsinore, CA) in 2019, and bassist/songwriter Matt Spatol (from Milwaukee, WI) in 2021, mixing some American blood into the Canadian gene pool just as their genre mash-up is inspired by. 

Since their inception the name Daring Greatly has been a merit for the hard work, dedication, and ambition that the bandmates live by every day. It’s these values that have granted them the opportunity to play on some of the same stages as names like Bon Jovi, The Struts, Sublime, and many, many others.

JUDAH & THE LION

The last few years have proven to be one of the most brutal, turmoil-fueled eras in recent decades. Between the Covid-19 pandemic, political feuds, difficult economic conditions, and rising tensions in the East, we can all agree it has been tough times. But if anyone knows the old adage “diamonds are created under pressure” best, it would be Judah Akers and Brian Macdonald. 

Founded in Nashville, TN over ten years ago, Judah & the Lion quickly jumped into the hearts of people everywhere with the release of “First Roots” in the summer of 2012. When Judah Akers, Brian Macdonald, and Nate Zuercher first met they were young college students having fun at Belmont University. Judah was even a D1 baseball player for the college! 

What really drew the hearts and ears of the band’s early listeners was their passion for combining bluegrass instruments with new rock sounds. Rather than play the cookie cutter guitar, bass, and drums, the members of Judah & the Lion opted for the mandolin and the banjo. If you want to be great, you have to be different. Judah & the Lion nailed both aspects of that saying.

Fast forward ten years and the pandemic had screeched an eight year touring career to a halt. During this time, each of the members took a personal break to spend time with their families and work on mental health. Brian perhaps got the best end of the stick, being able to spend a year of quarantine in Sweden while his wife worked towards her Masters Degree. Unfortunately, the time away did lead one of the founding members, Nate, to take a step back and leave the band. 

The change of becoming a duo after spending ten years as a group of three forced Judah and Brian to reevaluate their dynamic as a band. The pair tackled this challenge, and the outcome of their adjustments reinvigorated their partnership and pushed their creativity to new heights.

One of their first sessions back in the studio occurred in the Fall of 2021 at Echo Mountain in Asheville, North Carolina. Judah and Brian invited some lifelong friends and touring mates to the recording studio so they could all hang around each other while doing what they loved most. After a two-year mandatory vacation courtesy of Covid-19 and the life-altering news of a member leaving the band, Judah and Brian let their creativity lose and their passion run wild.

Brian described the recording session as “one of the most fun times we had in the studio… it felt like a retreat.”

A true diamond formed under the pressure of a difficult few years, where in the end, Judah & the Lion found the character and passion they needed to make a true Revival – and the fans couldn’t be happier!
