Wonderfront Music and Arts Festival is just around the corner and San Diego is getting more excited each day! The festival will take place Friday, November 22nd through Sunday, November 24th amongst ten different stages, two of which will have free shows for the public.
Festival set up will begin Sunday, November 17th through breakdown on Wednesday, November 27th, creating limited access to Broadway Pier, Seaport Village parking lots, Embarcadero Marina Park North, Ruocco Park, and Hilton Bayfront Park. Although the festival footprint spans over a mile, Embarcadero Promenade and Seaport Village businesses will remain open for business the entire duration of the festival.
Wonderfront values the San Diego community and is proud to incorporate local musical talent in the festival. Many locals will be featured at Ruocco Park, such as Aviator Stash (Wonderfront’s Battle of the Bands winner), along with some touring artists, as well as San Diego legend, Tony Hawk’s Huckjam.

In addition to the free events at Ruocco Park, the Headquarters stage will also be open to the general public, free of charge. Headquarters attendees will have the opportunity to experience salsa, reggae bands, as well as an exhibition from the region’s best vineyards and brewers, all in one setting.

Events to the public will extend beyond these stages with the Street Theater at Seaport Village, where street performers and buskers will entertain crowds all weekend. In addition, the Tuna Harbor Dockside Market, an open-air seafood market featuring fresh caught seafood and aqua farmed seaweed direct from local fishermen and aqua farmers, will be open on Saturday, November 24 and Sunday, November 25, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
As a way to open up accessibility to the San Diego community to experience all Wonderfront has to offer, there will be 220 free parking spaces at Santa Fe Depot’s station Ace Lot. For those who choose not to drive, Santa Fe Depot station is conveniently half a mile, a short ten-minute walk, from Wonderfront’s northernmost point, Broadway Pier. Additionally, FRED (Free Ride Everywhere Downtown) will provide a free WonderFRED shuttle service to the public and Festival attendees, offering a continuous loop through Wonderfront venues and downtown, as well as the free Santa Fe Depot Ace Lot.
